WHAT IS GOAB?
Geeks on a Beach is the honest-to-goodness, no holds-barred conference where people speak the truth about startups, tech and design.
The main event is two days but the activities happen over four days. There are pre-event get-togethers and welcome drinks. Workshops and training sessions. Networking and pitching events. Product demonstrations. Breakout talks for niche interests (bring out your flying drones!). Post-event demos and fun group activities. All centered around the invaluable ideas that will be SHARED in the keynote talks.
WHY YOU SHOULD BE AT GOAB
Real people come to GOAB. People with dreams. Those that are looking to get started. The ones that are trying to make it over the hump. Those that have something important to say. Talented, forward-thinking, good people.
Heroes have come to hang out by the beach. You heard Dave McClure dropped by last year, didn't you? 500 Startups Founder. Yes he did. Mister Khailee Ng, mister creative energy himself, he was here too. Maria Ressa, powerhouse of social news. Bowei Gai, he toured the world and ended it here. Earl Valencia. Minette Navarrete (that's na-vuh-reh-te, uh huh). BUSINESS people. Investors. Founders. Founders' buddies. Hotshot designers. Smart-a Developers. They know where it's at.
And you know what the good part about it is? Everybody gets a chance to speak up. You know what's even better? Nobody has to be forced to dress up. GOAB has cracked the code to the perfect half and half of events - important exchange of ideas in an environment that is not daunting. So leave your long-sleeved plaid shirts AT HOME, pack your tank tops and short shorts and book your flights for Boracay.
GOAB is a place of dialogue. It's an exchange-of-ideas convention that discusses some of the world's pressing needs set along the shores of some of the most beautiful beaches in the world - serious conversations in a laid-back atmosphere.

Yes, the Philippines has delivered on providing more fun to all. The first two years of GOAB leveraged this to attract the best and the brightest from around the world to Philippine shores. More than the fun, this year’s GOAB promises more value with your participation in shaping the Philippine Startup Roadmap while impacting the regional and global startup ecosystems. Though the process began years ago, ASEAN integration officially starts on December 31, 2015. While the Philippine startup community gears itself towards seizing the opportunities and overcoming the challenges at its doorstep, the country offers an ideal gateway for global players seeking to leverage the ASEAN Economic Community.
